Our Montessori Program Ages 2.5 – 6 Years

Montessori daycare programs in Caledon Hills Montessori School

Caledon Hills Montessori School is licensed for 24 preschool children, creating a close-knit environment where educators can provide meaningful individual attention and support each child's development.

Our mixed-age Montessori environment brings children ages 2½ to 6 together in one carefully prepared space. Younger children develop language, sensory awareness, motor coordination and social skills through hands-on exploration, while older children build on these foundations through practical life, early literacy, mathematics, science and social responsibility.

Children progress through the Montessori materials and activities at their own pace, with educators observing, guiding and supporting each child's individual development. The result is a collaborative environment where children learn from one another, develop independence and confidence, and grow together as a community.

Full-Day & Extended Care Options

Our core program runs from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with before and after care available from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM for busy working parents.

A Montessori Framework That Puts Children First

Montessori begins with a simple belief: every child is capable, curious, and ready to learn. At Caledon Hills Montessori, the environment, materials and guidance are thoughtfully designed around each child's stage of development, interests and growing need for independence.

Children are given meaningful choices, hands-on experiences and the time to explore at their own pace. Rather than simply directing children what to do, educators observe, guide and support them as they discover, practise, problem-solve and master new skills.

This child-first approach nurtures concentration, confidence, independence, responsibility and a genuine love of learning—giving children the freedom to discover what they can do and the confidence to do it for themselves.

Help Me Do It Myself

At the heart of Montessori is a simple idea: give children the opportunity to do for themselves, and support them as they grow.
